Schiavo’s New Bill: What does it really mean?

So I am watching the news and on comes this story of Mrs. Schiavo. I was watching how the whole congress came together for an emergency meeting to allow this womans life to go to trial in a Federal court.

I am sympatetic to the family. But I think after 15 years of being in a vegitative state I would not want to live anymore. The only person who has the legal, and moral right to let her wife go or live is her husband. Does the goverment really want to say who lives and who dies. Who has the right to life and who doesn’t?

I think that is exactly what they want. I belive this is a bill that could be used to fuel the abortion issues the “right” would like to see come to law.

What do you think?

I should say that I was happy to see that this bill was worded for only Mrs. Schiavo, or was it? Or does it matter. This I think is a tragic situation, but is the goverment the one who should make the decision? On another note if she did have a living will this would not be an issue.
