Apple Announces It’s Final MacWorld

Apple announces it’s final MacWorld, aka “The Day the Music Died”. Taken from endgadet:
Apple has just issued a press release stating that this coming MacWorld in January will be its last, and Steve Jobs won’t be on hand to say goodbye. Instead, Phil Schiller will be heading up the proceedings, thus marking a quiet end to a conference that’s been the launching point of some of the most important pieces of consumer tech in recent memory.
And I never got to see the famed keynote speech… WHY STEVE WHY!!! Here is some choice clips taken throughout the years for your enjoyment:
My Union Square Photo

I took this photo back in 2003 before I offically lived in San Francisco and thought nothing of it until someone, Schmap, contacted me to get permission to add it to their online map.
Here is what it looks like on the iPhone or iTouch.
sigur rós @ the Greek Theater
// October 6th, 2008 // 2 Comments » // Music
Sigur Rós played the Greek Theater on October 3rd. Great show. This was my first time seeing them and I was totally impressed with their sound and their stage presence. Given that the music is fairly calm and meditative most of the time, they showed tremendous energy.
The whole time everyone was praying that it wouldn’t rain and it didn’t. It was not until the last song in their encore, as if it was cued to the final crescendo, it started to rain. Awesome!!!

New David Byrne & Brian Eno Album
// August 18th, 2008 // No Comments » // Art, Film, Music
David Byrne & Brian Eno have released a new album entitled “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today”. What I have heard so far sounds amazing, like a warm blanket or meeting a good old friend for a cold beer in a pub, sounds like home. Ok that was cliché, “Home” being one of the new tracks off the new album. Like most artist these days they are putting the album out themselves and is available for download on their website.
What I am even more excited about is hillmancurtis’s short film about this new album and their creative process. What you see here is a teaser. The full version is included in the deluxe CD/DVD package, designed by Stefan Sagmeister and available at www.everythingthathappens.com
“No, No, No” – The Red Vic Trailer

“No, No, No” (The Red Vic Trailer) from eric toledo on Vimeo.
The trailer was viewed at the Red Vic on Friday July 25th along with 4 other great trailers, thanks for everyone who was there and those who could not make it as well. All films will be shown from time to time instead of the classic “Dishes” trailer which normally plays. Great honor and lots of fun.
Special thanks to Oskar for being the first to tell me about the “contest” and Brian for having the hook up and pushing me to make it. Learned a lot and can’t wait to make another film.
